We welcome our new EVP Operations
Beyonder is excited to announce the appointment of Thomas Bergan as our new Executive Vice President (EVP) Operations, effective June 2024. Thomas brings great operational experience and expertise to the Beyonder team, and will contribute to further drive the operational excellence as we now move into a new phase, transitioning from start-up to a commercial player in the global market.
- As responsible for Operations, my short term focus will be to ensure we are able to deliver the volumes we have committed to deliver through our sales organization. I will continue to focus on both short and long term, when developing production capacity, both through solid partners of scale manufacturing, and future potential in-house manufacturing capacities. My ambitions are that we together with our network of suppliers and partners work continuously to develop capacity, in the battery value chain in Europe, efficiency and product improvements that meet the customer demands, says Thomas Bergan.
A proven leader in the industry
With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Thomas has held pivotal roles within the battery industry as the former SVP Production Mo i Rana in Freyr, and as the CEO of Agility Subsea Fabrication AS.
-Whether it is through sourcing partners or building internal production capacity, scaling up is a critical phase for any start-ups. A lot of hard work has been done to bring Beyonder to where we are and I look forward to being a part of the next phase, and I believe my experience can add value for Beyonder to take the next steps ahead, Thomas adds.

His operational background spans within a field of strategic planning, supply chain management, and operational leadership. His deep understanding of the battery industry dynamics and commitment to sustainable practices align perfectly with Beyonder’s vision; one charge ahead!
Throughout his career, Thomas has demonstrated exceptional leadership in optimizing operations and fostering collaborative environments. His strategic mindset and proven track record in implementing efficient processes will be invaluable as Beyonder is ready to launch the next generation and cost-efficient battery cells.
- My ambition is to establish Beyonder as a robust and reliable supplier of products meeting the customer expectations both on quality and volumes, says Bergan.
Academic and professional excellence
Thomas holds a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and has completed several executive education programs. His passion for sustainable development and technological advancement makes him a perfect fit for our team. Something CEO Tove N. Ljungquist confirm;
