Global Mining Innovation Challenge Charge On shortlists Beyonder and Midwest Energy's concept as one of the most innovative solutions for electrifying fleets

BHP, Rio Tinto and Vale are the founding patrons of the Global Mining Innovation Challenge. They created a global call for innovative technology development to support the mining industry in solving one of the largest challenges within mining today, decarbonisation of mining operations.

Midwest Energy and Beyonder have developed a new and innovative concept and are thrilled to be announced as one of the 21 syndicates across the globe to be shortlisted in the challenge.

At Beyonder and Midwest, we are excited to be part of this transformational journey, as we are committed to our vision of supporting society beyond net zero. Committed to make fleet electrification of mining trucks a reality, the consortium is proceeding with a Proof-of-Concept at Midwest mines to demonstrate the solution.

“The implications of our novel approach combining new, emerging technology showcase that the electrification of mining can become a reality sooner than later, as confirmed by the leading mining companies in the world”.
